A cruise to Fort Phra Chulachomklao is a good snap shot of Bangkok's economy, passing Sathorn and Sukumvit skyscrapers, and going under Thailand's biggest bridges:Rama 9, Bhumiphol 1&2, and Ring Road.

You also get a good look at Bangkok Port acitvity. Once arrived at the Fort, the mouth of the river is clearly in view, and the smell of salty sea air is apparent. There is one hour to walk around the monument, and visit HTMS Maeklong a retired minesweeper commissioned in 1937
